

Robert T. "Bob" Conway, Sr, 75, of New Albany, In, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away on the morning of September 17, 2012 at Clark County Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. He was a native of Edmonson County, KY and a Christian by faith.
Bob had been active in his work life, having worked as a police officer and a lifetime member of the Jefferson County FOP Lodge #14 before the merger into Louisville Metro; a safety director for Jefferson Community Technical College; a member of the Masonic Lodge #951 F & A M; Scottish Rite and York Rite; the Shriners; and a lifetime member of the American Legion Lodge #0028 in New Albany. He had also served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. and Louanna Whobrey Conway and a sister, Dolores Skaggs.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Judith Porter Conway; children, Thomas A. (Karen), Gary H. (Denise), Frank (Lynn), Robert T. (Billie Jean) Conway, and William S. (Vickey) Wilson; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Garland (Ruth) Conway and a sister, Karen Conway, along with many friends at JCTC Southwest and Downtown.
His Life Celebration service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday evening from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has designated Kosair Childrens Hospital for memorial contributions.
