

Born on December 30, 1951, in Louisville, KY.
Robert proudly served his country as a Navy Seabee for two years, a time that shaped his strong sense of duty and commitment. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career with the US Corps of Engineers, where he dedicated over 30 years before retiring.
Family was the cornerstone of Robert's life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his mother, Pat Heim; his devoted wife of 52 years, Christine Heim; his children, Jason Heim, Julie Bridges (Jeff), and Justin Heim (Jessica); his cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Travis, Joshua, Walter, and Linus; his brother, Joseph Heim (Mary); his niece, Emily Heim; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his father, Charles A. Heim, and his father and mother-in-law, Jean and Lillian Trosclair.
Robert's zest for life was evident in his hobbies. He relished spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. His love for woodworking, storytelling, drawing, coloring, and cutting grass showcased his multifaceted talents and his joy in being active and productive.
Robert "Bob" Charles Heim will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His stories, his laughter, and his unwavering presence will be forever remembered and cherished.
A memorial service for Robert will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
