(Or perhaps it was his daughter he and I chatted about over lunch.  Time has gotten away from me.  Doesn't seem possible that she would have children of her own, but it has been fifteen years.)  Obviously, he still crosses my mind.  He was one of the good ones!

I'm not sure what made me look for an obituary today, and I am so very sad to find it - - and heartbroken that until now, I did not know.  Bob and I became very good friends when I worked at Priority Group and we stayed in touch for a short while afterwards.  I remember how much he loved his granddaughter.  He will forever live in my heart and memories.

I met Bob through business more than 40 years ago. We also were both members of the Ad Club of Louisville. Bob had a dry wit that some didn't understand when they first met him, but if they spent some time with him, they got it. I always saw it as a challenge to make him break out into a full laugh! We had fun playing that game for many years. Although we haven't seen each other for a long time, I will always value his friendship. Prayers for the family.

It was a honor to be a pallbearer at Bob's funeral. The stories were great and the love everyone expressed for Bob was off the charts. While growing up he was definitely a "cool cousin". I told Janet he was my Fonzie. I was also lucky enough to work with him and the agency when I was with The Creasey Company. Later on, he gave me great advice and guidance when I got into the publishing business. He will be missed.

My condolences to the family of our dear friend, Bob.  He had a way of making each of us feel important and cherished, of always making us smile.  Our group of Life Members at the AdFed will continue always to hold him in deepest esteem.

Bob Iler was one of the best--a good and decent man with a heart of gold.  A man beloved by his friends and colleagues, Bob was a man whose word could be trusted.  The world will not see his like again.  My sympathy to his family, Sister Angie Shaughnessy, SCN (Louisville, Kentucky)

 Bob was a great man, I had the pleasure to work with Bob for a couple of years before he retired from Sheey and Associates. His warm heart, smile and his contagious laugh I will always remember. See you again, Bob!

I met Bob through his sister, Janet, my precious friend of many, many years. She spoke so highly of Bob. Janet clearly loved and cherished him and will miss him terribly.  Losing a sibling is just awful.  Condolences to Vycki and Michael and the entire family.  Priscilla Gotsick

I first met Bobby when we rode the school bus to the first grade and found him to be a very nice and fun person.  This is indeed sad news and I send my heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.
