Robert A. Kirchner Sr., 71, of Louisville passed away November 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 28, 1943 in Louisville to the late Edward J. and Justina Elizabeth Kirchner. Robert was a veteran in the United States Army and was retired from GE with over 37 years of service.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Maddox Kirchner; two children, Mary Beth Ray (Luke) and Bobby Kirchner; grandchildren, Brittany, Shawn, Ashley, Tyler, Alyssa and Codie; great-grandchildren, Keeley, Kylee and Kenzee; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be conducted Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Sunday at the funeral home.
