Robert Val Kowadla

Robert Val Kowadla, 75, of Louisville, passed away January 22, 2021. He was born January 21, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Harry Kowadla and Vera Mereschak. He attended Syracuse University and New Haven College and was an Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a former vice president of Sam P. Stiles(Highway Press) and later worked for Sam Swope and Hyundai of Louisville. He enjoyed his travels across the United States, particularly St. Augustine, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Kowadla. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Brian Kowadla(Missy Feller); and Steven Kowadla(Melissa); grandchildren, Desiree` Kowadla, Nicholas Kowadla, Brooke Kowadla, and Evan Kowadla; great-grandchildren, Greyson Derry and Wyatt Helm; sister, Karen Dupcak; and his longtime companion, Patty Walker.

Funeral service will be 12pm Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be 2pm-8pm Monday, February 1, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home. The funeral service will be live streamed via Facebook page Evergreen Funeral Home & Evergreen Cemetery beginning at 11:45am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in his memory be made to the charity of choice.
