

He was born in Louisville, KY, to the late Robert and Alta Clements Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Eva Lewis.
Tom was a brilliant yet humble man. He retired from Brown and Williamson as the Director of Engineering, holder of 19 patents, and 32 years of faithful service. He was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. He and his wife, Linda, were world travelers, having visited 82 countries on 6 continents. Tom was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Formula One Racing and even traveled to Singapore several times for the Formula One Grand Prix. In his leisure time, he also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda; and other close family members: Bryan and Teresa Hartlage, Ramona and Thomas Oakley, Paul and Sherril Vance, Patrick Montgomery; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at St. John Community Church, 12700 W Hwy 42, in Prospect, followed by interment in Resthaven Memorial Park and a reception at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at church and conclude at the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel for Towers in Tom’s memory.
