

Robert S. "Bob" Lewis Sr., 75 of Louisville, passed away on the evening of May 8, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East with his loving family by his side. He was retired from L G & E as a generator specialist. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, and formerly of Okolona Christian Church where he participated in the choir at both churches. He was with the Band Parents Association for Southern High School; helped with the Boy Scouts of America; belonged to Shively Masonic Lodge #951 F & AM and Kilwinning #506 F & AM and the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Oliver and Edna Cole Lewis.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 54 years, Dorthy Goldsmith Lewis; children, Cinthia S. (Ray W. Jr.) Cecil, Steve (Cheryl) Lewis, Bill (Melanie) Lewis and Jonathan Cole (Kerry A.) Lewis; sister, Wanda Tatchell; ten grandchildren, one great-grandson and his beloved dog, Sophie Sue.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
