Robert McClain

Robert was born on September 16, 1931 in Mount Eden KY to Luther and Alma McClain.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Alma McClain, brothers, AJ and Earl McClain and sister, Arvilla Ware.

Robert is survived by his wife of 75 years Ora Carney McClain, their children, a son, Bobby McClain (Cheryl) of Fort Recovery OH,

daughter, Jan Miller of Wooster OH, son, Greg McClain (Jill) of Fishersville KY, daughter, Michelle Ahl (Kevin) of Shepherdsville KY, a brother, Arvil McClain of Mount Eden KY and a sister, Judy Day of Mount Washington KY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jamie (Noel) McClain of Plainfield IN, Jodie (Tim) McClain-Bohner of Plainfield IN, Jill (John) Anliker of NYC, NY, Jacalyn (Matthew) Norris of Glade Spring, VA, Nikki (Ethan) Johnson of Owensboro, KY, Mariah (Jordan) Muth, Louisville, KY, Dustin Ahl of Shepherdsville KY, Raven Ahl of Mount Washington, KY, Jessica (Travis) Woodcock of Brooks, KY, Spencer (Sydney) Ahl of Shepherdsville, KY. He is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place from 3pm-8pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral service will take place at 12pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Interment will take place immediately after the funeral At Highland Memory Gardens.
