He was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church and the National and Bluegrass chapters of the International Society of Explosive Engineers (ISEE). He was a blasting consultant and the owner/operator of Pippin & Associates.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Louise Pippin and a nephew, Gregory Allen Hatfield.
He is survived by his brothers, Ron and Mike Pippin; sister, Kathie Hatfield; niece, Jessica Coates; and great-niece, Braylynn Coates.
Visitation for Rob will take place 11a.m. -8 p.m. Tuesday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. A memorial service and inurnment will take place 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or the WHAS Crusade for Children.
