Robert E. "Bob" Rehm, Sr., 68, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 24, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East with his loving family by his side. He was retired from Dover Elevator. During retirement he taught and consulted on elevator engineering. He loved wildlife, being a handyman and gardening. There was nothing that he couldn't do.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Diane Trautwein Rehm; children, Catherine Hoagland (Roy), Robert E. Jr. (Laura), Steven J. (Melissa) Rehm, Sue Anne Rehm (Nathan Mann); step-children, Stephen (Laura) Freeland; sisters, Doris Nelson and Arlene Rogers; brother, Richard Rehm and grandchildren, Bobby, Garrett, Rachel, Jack, Morgan, Jeanne Tyler, Ben, Clay, Niall and Susan Elizabeth.
Bob's Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
