He was an Army veteran of the Korean war, a member of the local 576 union a construction worker who worked hard all of his life, but most of all he was a loving father and he loved only the best.
Cadillac was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Richie, sons Tyrone Richie and Charles Cato, grandchildren, Robert Richie IV, and “Lil” Tyrone Richie.
He is survived by his children, Robert Lee Richie III (Deborah), Mary E. Richie, Rosaline Elliott, Terrie Richie, Erin Tifford Richie and Raymond Johnson, brothers, Charlie Richie, Thomas Richie, James Richie and Johnnie Richie, sisters, Mary Lee Knox, Mattie Guthrie, Josephine Chill, Shirley Gholston, Shirley McKenney and Geraline Steptoe. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Cadillac’s life will be conducted 11am, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Anderson St, Louisville, KY 40210 Phone:(502) 584-8984, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday, November18, 2013 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
