Robert Louis "Bob" Shumate, 66, of Louisville, passed away at Parr's at Springhurst on the evening of February 25, 2012, with his loving daughters by his side. He was a graduate of Flaget High School and a avid U of L Cardinals fan. Words to describe Bob would be a simple man, a hard worker, not a mean bone in his body, a very honest man and one who loved to dance.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy Anthony and Anna Lee Meyer Shumate; loving wife, Mary Rose Winters Shumate; granddaughter, Paige Cornelius and brother, Leroy Shumate.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tammy Diehl and Tiffany (Scott) Arnold; siblings, Jeanie, Maryann (Danny), Bill (Debbie), Jim (Sandy); and grandsons, Casey, Brice and Shane.
