

He is a retired Journeyman Mechanic with Phillip Morris for 30 years, was a firefighter with Black Mudd Fire Department, a founding member of the Louisville Cruiser Car Club and a friend of the Louisville Outlaws Motorcycle club. Robert was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast; he was the pit crew for his son-in-law at Ohio Valley speedway. Robert was affectionately referred to as the “Mayor” of his community and never met a stranger. He loved most, being the pawpaw of Emma and Jake. He will be greatly missed.
Robert is preceded in death by his brother, David Stafford, he is also preceded in death by his loyal dogs, Sammi the Chow and Dudley the Pug.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Wanda J. Stafford, their children, Robert Lee Stafford Jr and his fiancée Alena Maksaeva, Autumn Burgin and her husband Aaron, grandchildren, Emma and Jake, a sister, Debbie Messer, a brother, Buford Stafford and his wife Wanda E., and his devoted dog Harley.
A funeral service to celebrate Robert’s life will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 1-8pm on Friday July 24, 2015 and after 9am the day of the funeral.
