Robert "Bob" A. Steinmetz

He was a KY Colonel, a member of the KY Walking Horse Association and the TN Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association. Bob was a hard worker dedicating over forty five years to Paul’s Fruit Market (Taylorsville Rd) and Garden Gate Fruit Market. He taught us to work hard and to be strong. Dad gave us the best of everything and told us often how proud he was of his family. He was also proud of the many champion show horses he gave his family. Dad was our best friend and we will love and miss him always. We love you Dad.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his six siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lana Steinmetz, children, Robert Dale Steinmetz, Melissa Connelly (Bill) and Shannon Sims (Terry), grandchildren, Robert Brandon, Justin, Will, Nicholas and Shelby. Special friend, Joe Tobbe and family. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, numerous friends and his special devoted friend, Lacy the Dachshund.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be conducted at 7pm Monday, November 3, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Guests are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 1pm until service time at 7pm.
