Roland L. Watkins I., 76 of Louisville passed away on February 17, 2017. He was a graduate of Southern High School, and Sullivan University. He was an Air Force veteran, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as General Yardmaster after 31 years .
Roland is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Linda S. Watkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Roland L. Watkins II (Heather) , Mark V. Watkins (Irena), and a daughter, Jennifer L. Watkins (Roy), and a sister, Patricia W. Hart. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation to celebrate Roland’s life on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 1-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
