Unfortunately, I only got to meet Rosie once, that was at the fish-fry Charlie & Christy had back in September, I asked her how she liked the fish? She replied, "That it was pretty good, but not hardly as good as her favorite kind of fish." So I had to ask her, and just what kind of fish might that be? To which she replied, " Mason". I fished my whole life, I've never heard of a masonfish, much less caught one. So I ask, where in the world do ya' get them masonfish? About once every month down at the Mason's Lodge.

Rosie was my "second Mom". She and Mom were best friends during my childhood. Her daughters, Kathy & Christy were about the same age as me and Gayle so we got to play together all the time as neighbors. We went to drive-in movies, played in each other's yards, had sleepovers, made Christmas cookies every year, and so many other fun things. Rosie took me to the hospital after a terrible bike wreck and stayed with Mom while they stitched me up.

We didn't see each other much in later years but nothing will ever dull those treasured years growing up together. Times that shaped me into the woman I am today and taught me to care for other people. Thank you for loving me like that, Rosie.
