Rosie Covella Higgs, 89, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Rosie grew up in a family of 6 children, one in a set a twins. Lost her mother at the age of 16, her father later in life. She has survived all of her brothers and sisters. She worked at Sandy’s Restaurant for years, then Value City Department Store in her later years. She loved spending time with family, camping, boating and fishing at the lake with the love of her life, Shelby. At home she enjoyed working in her garden, fussing over her Koi pond, and rocking on the porch at the end of the day. Above all, she loved her 5 children, then grandchildren, and great grandchildren as they came.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Shelby B. Higgs; her oldest son, Roger A. Hiser; and youngest daughter, Anita C. Peach.
Left to cherish her memory is a son, Michael E. Hiser; daughters, Shelia D. Hill (David), and Sharon D. Edmondson (Dennis), 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00pm until the time of the service.
