He was born September 26, 1921 in Louisville, the son of Roy and Bertha Bailey.
Roy was a buyer at Tube Turns for many years, as well as being a member of Westport Road Baptist Church. He was also a United States Marine Corps veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory his nephew and caretaker Tony Lanham; nephew, Rick Bailey; niece, Molly Hockenbury; nephew, Brent Foster; and sister-in-law, Lotte Bailey.
A service to celebrate Roy’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Private entombment will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 3-6 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
