He was an Army veteran and a member of Hurstbourne Christian Church.
Roy is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen Brown Roberts, stepson, Billy Joe Sipes and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Roberts Sr.
He is survived by his Granddaughters, Lauren Peege (Dave) and Susan Grimes (Doug), great grandsons, Michael and Christopher Peege, great granddaughters, Katie, Beth and Sarah Grimes, and a daughter-in-law, Jan Butler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atria for their loving kindness and care that they showed to Roy.
A celebration of Roy's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Entombment will follow immediately after the service at Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be after noon on Wednesday until service time.
