She was a retired printing supervisor for the Panier Company and was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawson and a son, David Lawson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Gloria Spivey (Larry) , Betty Greer and Dorothy Ward; Niece, Tina Phillips who was also her caregiver; several other nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Ruby will be conducted at 12 NOON on Monday, August 20th, 2012 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady - Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held from 12-8 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of customary expressions of sympathy the family has requested memorial gifts to Magnolia Senior Care.
