She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Carl Decker, brother Charles Decker (Ethel), and brother Clyde Decker.
She is survived by her children; Brenda Lenzi (Bill), Arland Benningfield III (Kitty), Jerry benningfield (Annette), Jeanette Richards (Larry), 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and brother, James Decker (Beulah), brother Ray Decker (Anne), sister Elizabeth Shears (Warren), sister Virginia Varner (Al), sister Mildred Decker (Roy), brother Terry Decker (Betty).
A visitation for Ruth will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Ruth's son, Arland Benningfield, will be conducting the service.
Ruth will be laid to rest in McGrew Memorial General Baptist Church and Cemetery, 775 McGrew Church Road, Leitchfield, Kentucky 42754.
