Ruth Ann McDowell

McDowell, Ruth Ann (Kemp) 82, passed away peacefully in her home on July 17, 2015. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Ruth Ann was a generous woman who loved being surrounded by her family. She loved to cook, travel the world, and volunteering with the Mattingly Center and Day Spring. She was a member Crescent Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Phillip Morris after 17 years of service.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rickie McDowell, Rebecca Steinrock (Mike), Gina Hughes (Bob), Keeley Foster (Mark), and Robert "Robin" McDowell; grandchildren, Holli Hayes (Drew), Crista and Julie Steinrock, Kaelin Fernandes (Andrew), Klaine and Alexis Hughes, Keith Sheridan and Selena Foster; great grandchildren, Levi and Ella Hayes; and sisters, Kathleen Hallinan and Mary Levi.

A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday at noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mattingly Center or Day Spring.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale (formerly Horizon Bay) for the excellent care of their mother for the past 2 1/2 years.
