Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Schuler and infant brother John Schuler.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Edward Phelps; children, Kim Phelps (Tommy), Edward Phelps III, Gary Phelps (Robin), Rodger Phelps (Jill), Shaylynn Grant (Nick) and Danyell Phelps; Siblings, Doug Schuler (Rita), Mary Dunn, Teresa Young, Robert Schuler, Karen Welsh and Debbie Schuler; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 9 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and great nephews and several sisters and brothers in law.
The family would like to thank Hosparus of Louisville for their loving and compassionate care that they extended to Ruth and her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 pm Monday at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
