Ruth Dolores Vogel

Ruth Dolores Vogel, 92, passed away peacefully at home on April 21,2023. She was the daughter of William C. Heil, Sr. and Ruth Stuckenborg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Joseph, her parents, her sister, Geraldine, her brother, Bill, and her infant son, Thomas.

Dolores is survived by daughters, Karen Zeller (Steve), and Ruth Stewart, and sons Mark and Matt. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker until her youngest child started school and then decided to take her cooking skills to St, Gabriel School as a cafeteria worker until she retired. After retiring, she volunteered at the Fern Creek Highview United Ministries food pantry.

She was a long time member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Ruth will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).

A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2 PM at the Funeral Home.

A graveside service will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Fern Creek Highview United Ministries (FCHUM).
