

Sally Rose Parker (Billharz) left us on Sunday, May 22, 2016, to be “on the road again” with Dewey Sr. She was born February 17, 1931 in Louisville, KY. Sally was a member of the Tobacco Worker’s Union and one of the first female members of the Fireman and Oilers Union during her 42 years of employment at Phillip Morris. She was an avid traveler, a frequenter of casinos and friend to everyone she met.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; Meinrad and Sallie E. Billharz; her husband Dewey C. Parker Sr.; three brothers, Jesse (Buddy), Andrew (Buster) and Meinrad (Boots) Billharz; 3 sisters, Ethel Lee Ann Shoemaker, Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Jones and Ella May Meurer.
She will remain forever in the hearts of her children; Ella Marie Ryan (Johnnie), Dewey C. Parker, Jr. (Sandy), Margaret Lynne Cahn (Ed) and Lorrie Ann Wood (Joey); grandchildren, Jennifer Stephens, John Parker Reed, Nicki Baker, Katie Reed, Carmon McTigue and Sydney Alvey; 5 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, June Allison and Margaret Wells.
Services for Sally Rose Parker will be on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 11AM in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
