Sandra Lee “Sandy” Bishop, 77, of Longboat Key, Florida passed away on October 19, 2024. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky. Sandy was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, attending car shows, and old movies.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bernice Zinninger, her siblings, Martha Zinninger, William Zinninger, and Dorothea Kaufman. Sandy’s husband of 59 years, Paul Gerald “Jerry” Bishop, passed away 12 days after Sandy did, on October 31, 2024. Sandy is survived by her daughter, Robin Smith and Robin’s husband Charlie Smith, and two grandchildren, Craig Smith and Matthew Smith.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 12pm – 2pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40218. A funeral will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Sandy will be entombed with her husband Jerry at Resthaven Memorial Park.
