Sarah Elizabeth Williams, or “Miss Sarah” as she was lovingly known, 96, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 6th, 2021, at her home in Atmore, Alabama. Sarah was born February 27th, 1925 in Barren County, Kentucky, to Ancil “Bud” Barrick and Edna Barrick. She was a homemaker and retired as a cabinet maker for H. J. Scheirich Cabinet Company. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Edna Barrick, her beloved husband Horace Monroe Williams, and her siblings Ruth Gentry, Catherine Bishop, Carrie Dugan, Mildred Lyons, Cloteel Lyons, Ed Barrick, Bill Barrick, Jim Barrick, and Ancil Barrick. She is survived by her son Gary Williams (Carolyn), grandchildren Bryan Williams, Travis Williams (Shannon), Jennifer Williams, Sharron Schreiber, Colleen Bansemer (Brian), and Beau Schreiber, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life service for Sarah will be held Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at Arch L. Heady & Sons Funeral Home (3601 Taylor Boulevard, Louisville, KY) at 1pm with graveside service to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Tuesday July 13th, 2021 from 11am to 1pm.
