With heavy hearts, we announce the birth and passing of Sawyer Lane Way on June 21, 2026. Though he was only earthside very briefly, Sawyer was deeply loved by everyone who awaited his arrival. Every moment spent with him was a treasured gift and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rebecca Clifford, Sue Clifford, Jimmy McCluskey, and Ronald Segars; his great uncle, Greg McCluskey; and his great-great grandmother, Norma Jean Bush.
Sawyer is survived by his parents, Hannah McCluskey and Zack Way; his grandparents, Christine and Brian Segars, Brian and Cindy McCluskey, Lisa and Michael Moore, and Michelle Way; his great-grandparents, Karen Segars, Tom Clifford, and Joyce McCluskey; as well as many other beloved family members.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
