Scott Anthony Blair

existence suddenly on January 31, 2025.

Scott was known for loving his wife and son fiercely, laughing at his own jokes loudly, playing guitar

while singing a song with all of his heart, making the best Alfredo sauce, a long list of Dad jokes that

make everyone groan, attending any and all live music opportunities, spoiling his wife, forgetting the

rules of board games when it was his turn, remembering vacations by what meals he had, and bursting

with pride while watching his son's music talent bloom. His bright spirit and big smile will forever be

missed.

Scott was born in Lexington, KY and grew up in Versailles, spending many hours on the backroads to

Lexington, Frankfort, and other nearby communities while growing up.

He had just graduated the University of Kentucky and accepted a full time job when he met his future wife, Kendell. Her first day as a part-timer was the potluck celebrating Scott's new full-time role at the company. When approaching the line to get food, Kendell accidentally bumped into Scott and said “Oh, I am sorry! I didn't mean to touch you!”. He replied, without missing a beat, “I didn't mean to like it!”, and that was the beginning of the greatest love story of all time.

Scott enjoyed playing music, traveling with his family, meeting new people, reading and watching fantasy

and science fiction stories, and loving his wife and son. Scott also loved his animals and could often be

found sitting in a pile of snoring dogs or purring cats.

Scott spent his entire adult career serving Kentuckians in customer service, government, and numerous

volunteer roles. He was a very hard worker and helper–always willing to pitch in to make the load lighter

for all.

Left to keep his spirit alive is his loving wife, together for 25 years, Kendell L. Nash; son, Owen Jude

Nash-Blair; mother, LeDonna Faye Jones Blair; brother, Rob Blair; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Hughes (Edward), Rebecca Blair; niece and nephews, Brodie Blair, Bella and Ozzy Hughes; aunt, Hilda Quisenberry; and so, so many extended family members and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Blair; his maternal grandparents, Alex and Sylvia

Jones; his paternal grandparents John O. and Lula Blair; his beloved in-laws, Rick and Ellen (Nash) Curry; and uncle, Jim Quisenberry and several cherished pets.

May Scott continue to live through all of us, as he so deeply deserves. May we all, each day choose to

be a little more like Scott and love each other a little harder and smile a little wider.
