She was a retired assembler with GE and had recently worked with customer service with the old Bullitt Bowl. She also was a member of the Derby City Brown Backers.
Mrs. Knuckles was preceded in rest by two children, William and Debra Knuckles; her parents Henry and Helena Mitchell; and two brothers, Jerry and Johnny Mitchell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, John ‘Burt’ Knuckles, Sr.; beloved mother of John B. Knuckles Jr. (Sandy), Karen Skaggs (Jeff) and Kathy Hardin (Virgil); eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knuckles will be on Monday, April 23rd, at 12 noon at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, with interment following in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visiting will be on Sunday from 2pm until 8pm.
