He is the former owner of the old Styles by Self salon.
Mr. Self is survived by two daughters, Renea Logsdon (Teddy Williams) and Missy Simon (Joe); two brothers, David (Dottie) and Roger (Debbie) Self; a sister, Shirley (Buck); and four grandchildren, Shelby and Lauren Logsdon and Jacob and Jackson Simon.
Cremation was chosen. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
His daughters would like to thank the MICU Unit at the University of Louisville for their care.
