Sharon Marie Cox 64 of La Grange, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. She was born April 12, 1948 to Malcolm and Geneva Lavon Prather. She was a graduate of Atherton High School, and a retired School Bus Driver for the Jefferson Co. School System. She was a member of Clifton Heights Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her father; Malcolm.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years (“and not enough”); John A. Cox, Sr. ,her daughter; Jennifer Cox, her son; John A. Cox, Jr. and her grandson; Ethan Tyler Cox . Her mother; Geneva Ruth Prather, her siblings; Charlene Ruth Scott (Leroy), Debra O’Connell (Joe), Kenneth M. Prather (Linda), and Pamela J. Jump (Wesley) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services to Celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Noon on Wednesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-8 pm Tuesday.
