She started helping take care of her siblings at nine. This would put her on a path of being a lifelong care giver. Sharon or Aunt Sue as her nieces and nephews called her would go on to help take care of 3 generations of family and friends. There was never a person blood or stranger that she would not help. Sharon earned an Associates Degree at the age of 69. She loved to tutor the many babies she cared for over her 72 years, work puzzles and create crafts.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Hutchens and Deloris Woten, Brothers Larry and John Hutchens, and sister Estella Nettles.
Sharon transfers her legacy of care giving to her children, Robert Gunter (Ingrid), Maryann Hope Eaton (Paul), grandchildren, Brenda Stidham, Robert E J Gunter, Rebecca Gunter, Nicholas Gunter, Christina Gunter, Sierra Eaton (Shelbee Garcia) and Katya Roehlk. Sisters, Rita Leggington (Tony) and Cindy Bloyd (Doug), her many nieces and nephews with special affection for Larry Bloyd (Payton), Eric Bloyd (Megan) and Autumn Bernard (Micah) and their children.
A special thank you to Chris Davis, Amanda Davis, Anne Gunter, Kathy Cobble, and her Hosparus Care Team for helping make her last days comfortable and loving!!
