To say I am saddened to hear this news is an understatement. Shawn was a competitive, tough, and intense baseball player while I coached him at Southern High School. His charm was his "innocent/guilty grin" and his will to win. He made coaching easier, more fun, less stressful (at times... other times he added stress) and I always enjoyed my conversations with Lee at our practices. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family. Due to Covid-19 I will not be able to make the services but please reach out should you all need anything.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Shawn when I was Parker’s first grade teacher. I remember how very proud and how much he loved and cared for Parker. I would see him at events at school in the years that followed and he always spoke. He told me how much he appreciated me as a teacher. He was a kind soul. Parker, I loved having you as my student and I’ll be thinking and praying for you and your family during this hard time. Parker’s first grade teacher,
Mrs. Carrico
