

He served as faithful Pastor of New Covenant Church Mission for 13 years.
He worked at NST metals for 17 years as a welder; he was then the owner and operator of Givins Welding and Fabrication from 1979 to 2000. He was a self-made man and created many innovative designs and became very successful giving all the glory to God.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maurisetta; son, Michael Lake Givins (Theresa) and daughter Kimberly Givins Pendleton (Kevin); grandchildren, Shelby, Christopher, Kristy, Lisa, and Justin; and 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Desmond Scott, Billy Scott, Jimmy Scott, and sisters, Dolores Allen and Helen Wix.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 7710 Dixie Highway, followed by entombment at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
