

She was born to parents Charles and Marilyn (Quinn) Funk on July 9,1951.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Stephen, sister Barbara (Funk) Clark and husband Robert W. Maggs.
She is survived by her brother Michael Funk; stepchildren Robert W. Maggs, Jr. and Karen Maggs; nieces and nephew Kristen (Clark) Lahndorff (Neal), Amy (Clark) Hardesty, Kevin Clark (Kelly), Katie Clark, Bethany Funk, Stacey (Funk) O’Koon (Kevin); best friend Corine Bordner; great nieces and nephews Caroline Hardesty, Jack Hardesty (Andrea), Nick Hardesty, Hadley O’Koon, Audrey O’Koon, Shea Clark, and Erin Clark; cats Dumplin’, Coco and Eddie.
She was a proud graduate of Durrett High School (1969), University of Kentucky and University of Louisville.
In her work life, she was a teacher before working for nonprofits March of Dimes and American Diabetes Association (ADA). She worked at ADA for 25 years as a National Director.
She enjoyed gardening, sailing and traveling. She was a great supporter of animal rights and ADA.
She was a loving mom to many cats and a few dogs through her life. Those she couldn’t keep were found good homes with friends and family.
