She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Burnett and her son, John Burnett.
Shirley is survived by her children, Gene Burnett, Doreen Ballard (Robert), Brenda Burns (Mike), Dennis Burnett, Michelle Palmer (Harry), Ray Burnett (Cindy), Daniel Burnett (Libby), Jimmy Burnett (Jennifer) Tammy Schneithorst (Bruce) and John Welch (Lisa). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be conducted at 10am Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests will be invited to attend a visitation from 2-8pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 and after 9am the day of the service.
