Shirley Clevenger, 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024, after a short illness. She was met at the gates of Heaven by her husband, Ernie, her soulmate of 57 years. Shirley was born to the late Louise Phillips and George Price, of Negaunee, Michigan. Shirley is survived by her three sons, Gary (Glenda), David (Mandy), and Mark (Angela); her grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessie) Clevenger, Mark (Arien) Clevenger Jr., Allison (Nathaniel) Wilson, Tony (Jessica) Clevenger, Marissa (Elliott) Day; and her six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Trey , Tina, Laura, Jude, and Grayson. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, and prior to that a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Shirley’s life was spent devoted to her family in addition to serving her churches and various community service activities.
Visitation will take place at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 12 to 3:30 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m.
