She was born to the late Anna and Ralph Spears. Her husband, Joseph W. Colish Sr. and brother, Ralph P. Spears, also precede her in passing.
Shirley was a Louisville native who worked for the Kentucky Correctional Department. She loved her family deeply but was most proud to be called "Granny". Shirley always wanted the best for her children and especially the grandchildren. She would want them to remember how proud she was; that Liam is in the Army, protecting and serving our country and family, how Carley is now in college at WKU working towards a path destine for her, and how Erin works very hard working for Schnell Construction, providing for her family.
Here to cherish her memory is her daughter Cheryl McGuire and son Joseph W. Colish II; her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Probus; her granddaughters Erin Klein (Skylar) and Carley Colish, grandson Liam McGuire, her great grandchildren Averi and Saylor.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
Shirley will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218.
