She retired from Jefferson County Public Schools after 28 years of service. She served in many capacities as a lunchroom worker, nurse, secretary and bookkeeper. She was involved in Christian ministries for Parkway Medical Center Nursing Home for 25 years.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, who passed on February 1, 2021, Norman Fow; and her sister Doris Heckel & brother – in – law, Robert Heckel, brother – in – law, Eugene Eicher, brother – in – law, Harold Raymond Fow & sister – in – law, Lois Fow.
Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her children, Stephen Fow, Robin Besore (John); grandchildren, Jeremy Besore (Lauren), Josh Besore (Amanda); great grandchildren, Sydney, Jillian, Landon, Liam Besore; sister – in – law, Shirley Eicher; several nieces and nephews, and her loving fur baby, Molly.
