She was born to Nelson and Mary Hatzell; married the love of her life Donald H. Meredith for 62 years, who preceded her in death.
Family was always her passion and she made everyone in her family feel special and loved unconditionally.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia; daughters Donna Roberts (Dexter), Kathy Didio (Dennis) and Dianne Carney (Ron); eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and her sweet little dogs, Charlie and Patsy.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be conducted at 10 am, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
