Shirley Ann Meyer

September 1, 1941 – October 31, 2025

Shirley Ann (Richard) Meyer, 84, passed away in the comfort of the arms of the love of her life, her husband of nearly 64 years, Ron Sr., on October 31, 2025.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Meyer, Sr., three children, six grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as her dear sister Doris Whitted.

Shirley was the beloved wife of Ron Sr., and the devoted mother of Ron Meyer Jr. (Debbie), Kim Wiggins (Jim Weiter), and Karen Flora (Mike). She was the proud grandmother of Nick Wiggins (Renee), Matt Meyer (Allison), Michael Wiggins (Mackenzie), Kayla Obert (Will), Jordyn Flora, and Brandon Flora, as well as bonus grandchildren Zack Weiter (Jordan) and Miranda Defler (Trenton). Shirley’s heart was fullest when surrounded by her 13 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and laughter.

Shirley lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She was known for her generous spirit, her love of family gatherings, and her joy for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed visiting various casinos with loved ones. Shirley never met a stranger; her warmth and kindness touched everyone lucky enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her contagious laugh, her unwavering love, and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pindell Ave, followed by entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
