Shirley Ann Moore

Shirley Ann Goodrow Moore, 84, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Shirley was born to the late Walter and Mildred Goodrow in Louisville, Kentucky. Ms. Shirley was fond of the fall and all of its beautiful colors, her favorites being orange and yellow. She was an avid reader, where her mind would get lost in the words of adventure. Shirley was an avid Harry Potter fan (Griffyndor of course). She was a mechanic for Naval Ordnance and retired in October 1990 after 33 ½ years. The love and the care she had for her family and friends will never be forgotten.

Also preceding her in death are her sister Mary Elaine May and her brother-in-law Allen Bruce May.

Left to cherish and carry on her memory are children, Sandra Lynn Moore and Susan Elaine Parker (Leonard Ray), grandson; Walter Ray Parker, step grandchildren; Elizabeth Anne Tinnell (Rob) and Christopher Alan Parker (Shawn), nephews; Timothy Allen May (Pam) and David Allen May, and five step-great grandchildren. She adored her family and loved them each deeply. She was always ready to go on adventures and enjoyed many gatherings, trips and events with her beloved family.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 01, 2020 from 11-2pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218.

Her burial will take place following the funeral service in Resthaven Memorial Park.
