

He was born August 9, 1925, in Coushatta, Louisiana, son of Amos Collins and Ethel Smith. Doc was the last living of eight children.
He had worked as a realtor for over fifty years. He also served his country in World War II in the Army and in the Korean War as an Air Force Reservist.
Doc was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Ann Collins.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Jan) and Craig (Elaine), and a daughter, Linda Collins Parker (Allen) as well as grandchildren Travis Breeze, Shelby Collins, Sean Collins, Justin Collins, Davis Collins, Matthew Shroyer, Chloe Parker, Cambria Parker and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman and Sons, 1201 E. Oak Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. also on Monday.
Burial with Military Honors will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to the donor’s favorite charity.
