Sophia Harris Cox, 84, of Louisville passed away July 31, 2015 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. She was born on January 20, 1931 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Joe and Florence Harris. She was retired from the Enro Shirt Company.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Cox; and two sons, Curtis Ray Cox and Harland Cox.
She is survived by her loving children, Howard Cox (Paula), Ethel “Sis” Perkins and Connie Davis; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Harp.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Tuesday and from 12-2 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
