Born in Czestochowa, Poland on Wednesday, September 10, 1936, Stan was the son of the lates’ Edward Jakubowski & Zofia Morgala. He was a graduate of Military Officer School, serving as an Officer in the Polish Merchant Marines. Once he came to the United States, he served in the U.S. Army being honorably discharged from Fort Hamilton, New York on June 28, 1962. Stan & his late wife, Carol Lee, loved to travel, especially to Florida. Stan and Carol were married on January 6, 1961 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. They would share 61 years of marriage before her death on June 17, 2020. Stan was retired from United Catalyst and loved to go to gym.
Besides his parents, Edward & Zofia Jakubowski; his wife, Carol Lee Jakubowski, precedes Stan in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Zofia Jakubowski, Sherry Mattingly & Christopher Jakubowski; a host of grandchildren; plus, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Per Stan’s wishes, cremation was chosen & there will be no public services.
