Stephen Eberenz

Stephen (Steve) Charles Eberenz III passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on July 5, 2024, at the age of 69. Steve was married to his devoted wife Karen for 48 years. He was the proud dad to Stephanie Davis (Tim) and Nick Eberenz (Kristen). He was the most amazing Grandpa to Landon and Max. He leaves behind his brother David Eberenz (Beth) and brother-in-law Tom Grubbs (Chandra). He also leaves behind several loving family members and friends; especially his best friends Doug and Bonnie Garvin.

Steve was born August 18, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky to Stephen and Doris Eberenz. He retired from Marrs Electric where he worked as an electrical estimator for over 30 years. Steve was a musician and lover of music. He spent 2 years at the University of Louisville School of Music playing the saxophone. He was also a member of the Phoenix VII band for many years. He was a lifelong Louisville Cardinals fan and cheered them on in every sport they played. Steve loved playing golf with his best friends in his spare time. He was a member of the Amvets Post 61 and was a Kentucky Colonel. Steve’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandsons.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
