I always loved to spend time to gather even if you where yalling at me. I keep you in my mind and you will always gide me the right way. i miss waching NASCAR with you and grandpa. Some of my fondest memories growing up were when Steve,Ronnie and Mike would come out to the farm and stay a few days with us in the summer.Steve was older than me and I looked up to him so much.he will be missed.May perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace. Dearest Steve:  We have known each other all of our lives and now there is a hole in our extended family.  I am thankful that you are at peace and free of pain and suffering. You will always be loved and missed.

My prayers are with you at this difficult time.  My late husband, Keith Wallace, worked with Steve at CSX in Corbin and Louisville for many years.  He was a kind and generous man and will be missed.  May Steve rest now and his pain and suffering over.  May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

My Dear Friend Steve,  I only had 4 short yrs to have the pleasure, the joy and the greatest of good fortunes to know you, but they will be 4 of the best yrs I have had, and that provided me with a lifetime of memories that I will cherish forever, in my mind and will hold close in my heart with warmth, with love and with gratitude that you allowed me to have them.  Meeting your son Steve Jr. was the greatest gift you have given me, along w/the surrogate family that I now have, and that has taken me into this family as one of their own. That gift will remain one thing that will help me to keep your memory alive within me forever. You made me laugh, brought smiles to my face and that alone is worth it's weight in gold, but a small measure compared to how much you will be missed not only by me but by everyone who's life you touched.  Your laugh that made me smile, your absolute evil little way of scaring my heart into hundreds of beats a second everytime you would sneak up on me that gave you so much pleasure, these are just to name a couple,  the things you did that made me realize how much you loved me and cared for me as if I was truly your friend and like a true daughter-in-law.  No ring or piece of paper as proof could make me feel any differenly, or that you felt any differnt towards me then that I was in your eyes the daughter-in-law that you would have hand picked for your son. I will forever thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me all these things.  My life was made a thousand times more rewarding, fulfilled and enriched immeasurably by having you in it, and for this you will always hold the most special of places within me and that along with your son, grandsons and every member of the Woods family will be your legacy to me. I hope and pray that I may have had if only just a small part, some role in adding to the memories you will have with you as you rest peacefully in a place that I hope to share w/you and my loved ones one day. I hope that you are now free from the pain, not just the physical but the pains of the mind, soul and heart  that I know you have endured these past few months, and that you have found the peace and contentment that you so wanted and deserved.  I will do everything within my power and ability to take care of, watch over and love not only your son and grandsons, but your beautiful daughters, their families and everyone in your family, as this  is what you taught me since I have known you, that family is the most important thing we have in this life and gaining your family has helped, along w/my own, to make me the person I am today. I'm so sorry I can't be there with you at this difficult time. We were best friends in high school and many years after. Steve and I lost touch about 8 years ago and I did not know that he was ill. My prayers are with you all. Charlie Bischoff
