He was born September 18, 1953 in Joliet, IL, the son of Erdis and Idella Blevins Dickens.
Steven had worked as a Foreman with the Holland Company Railroad for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah (Allison) Dickens; three children, Stephen Dickens, Jr. (Marsha), Erica Dickens and Kevin Dickens; one grandchild, Indigo Dickens; siblings, Charlotte LaRue, Carol Skala (Mike), Bob Dickens (Kim), June Ward (Joe Bill), and also several nephews.
A service to celebrate Steven’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
