Steven "Steve" Craig Kitzmann, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky was called home on Monday, October 11, 2021.

Steve was born on January 31, 1958 in Long Beach, California to the late Benjamin Kitzmann and Vera Cox. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Kitzmann.

Steve served in United States Army for eight years. He was a past GCIU President. He ran in the Boston Marathon in 2000, and was a two-time Iron Man. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter. Steve was a loving husband and wonderful father, he enjoyed life to the fullest and he will truly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kitzmann; sons, Jeremy Kitzmann, Jonathon Kitzmann, Joshua Kitzmann (Seirra); step-son, Marcus Nelson; grandson, Jaiden; brothers, Alvin Kitzmann (Jean), Kevin Kitzmann (Patty), Rob Kitzmann (Dawn); step-mother, Rose Kitzmann; and several step-brothers, step-sisters, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, with a service to honor the life of Steve to follow at 12 noon at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project.
